Working blocks

Name each block as an output or question. Leave unused rows blank.

How the builder allocates time

The opening begins at the selected start time. Working blocks follow in order, then the closing block. Unallocated minutes are displayed as a buffer rather than silently distributed.

If the agenda exceeds the calendar length, shorten or remove work. Extending the invite should be a deliberate choice, not the automatic answer.

Write blocks as finish lines

“Budget” is a topic. “Choose which budget scenario to use for the forecast” is a finish line. A useful block also names the person responsible for framing the issue and moving it to closure.

The owner is not necessarily the decision-maker. Put decision rights in the meeting description or pre-read when that distinction matters.

Design the work before filling the time

A timebox is credible only when the inputs are ready and the desired outcome is possible within the authority of the people attending.
