Charter the outcome, not the tradition
A recurring series should exist because it reliably produces a necessary result. Avoid descriptions such as ‘weekly sync’ that provide no stopping rule.
Separate participant channels
Required attendees, async contributors, and informed stakeholders need different responsibilities. The charter prevents every interested person from becoming a permanent attendee.
Include an exit condition
Name a review or sunset date and the evidence used to keep, redesign, reduce, replace, or retire the series.
